All identities are welcome! Our facilitators have extensive performing and education experience. We celebrate diversity in ability, students LGBTQ+, mental wellbeing and neurodiverse voices offering a safe and inclusive environment.
What to expect:
1) Low pressure warm ups that get you moving and laughing and build comfort using body and voice. No performing at people - it's about getting comfortable with people.
2) Learning to listen and respond (taking turns and supporting others' ideas).
3) Short, structured games (clear instructions, facilitator demonstrations and no pressure to be funny). More laughs come from surprise and connection, not jokes.
- No memorising or long scripts
- Focus is on safety, trust and fun
- No 'getting it right' mistakes are expected and welcome
Disclaimer (as our facilitator is also a speech pathologist): The groups do not offer therapeutic intervention, and participants should consult with a psychologist, occupational therapist or speech pathologist independent of groups.
